Just a short walk out of town along the road to Baltra, after approximately 500 meters, you will come across this tunnel.
Its roof has collapsed twice, the last time being when the road was being built and the bulldozer driver stumbled upon the tunnel.
Apart from its geological formation, the site is also home to giant tortoises, mostly juveniles.
The vegetation is typical of the island’s transition zone.
